Pathfinders for Independent Living, Inc. helps individuals become self-reliant and live independently to ensure their full inclusion in their family and the community. Pathfinders promotes the independent living philosophy and equal access for all people with disabilities.
A disability may be just that a person cannot do as many things for themselves as they could a few years ago or it may be a situation that requires that the individual have a personal care attendant all of the time. Pathfinders is a federally funded agency.
Pathfinders assists individuals with disabilities to be self-sufficient and empowers them to express their own wishes regarding how they live their lives. Free Tax
Preparation

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance will be offering free tax preparation at Pathfinders for Independent Living, 105 East Mound St. Harlan, KY. VITA will be here from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on the following days:
Tuesday, February 7th
Monday, February, 13, 20, & 27th
Monday, March, 5, 12, 19th
For an appointment you will need to contact Ron at (606) 573-5777; each appointment will take approximately one hour. You will also need to bring all necessary documents with you (i.e. W-2, interest statement, property tax, medical bills, etc.) It would also be a good idea to bring last year’s tax forms with you.
