Mindy (Petrey) Brummett
IL Jack-of-All-Trades

Picture
My name is Mindy Brummett and I came to Pathfinders September 2010.  I am the oldest of four children and have lived in Harlan County most of my life.  I am married and have a eight-year-old daughter, Autumn.

I worked at Carroll Engineering for almost three years, until I had to have cervical disc replacement surgery which resulted in a lot of complications.  I didn’t think that I would be able to work again but with lots of faith I overcame many obstacles and was released to go back to work after over a year.

My desire to be employed again led me to Pathfinders for Independent Living.  I love to work with people and I think this is the perfect job for me since I can relate to people with disabilities.  I still have some physical restrictions due to the surgery and complications, but I do my best to live life to the fullest.

Sometimes when I introduce myself to people from Harlan, I tell them that I am Bill Simms’ granddaughter. He was the fire chief for Harlan City Fire Department for many years and had many friends and acquaintances.  He loved to help people and I like to think that he is where I got my inspiration to help others.

My email address is; mindybrummett@pathfindersilc.org.

Amanda Hubbard, BA Human Resource Management, AS Office System Technology: Administrative
IL Jack-of-All-Trades

Picture
Hello, my name is Amanda Hubbard, I started working for Pathfinders in September 2010 and have gotten to know many great people who work here as well as in the community.  I love to help people as much as I can and this job provides me many opportunities to succeed in doing so.

Just to tell a little bit about myself.  I was born in Harlan, KY but raised in Leslie County.  I am a very lucky girl to have many wonderful people in my life.  Just to name a few; I have my soul mate, Chris and my two beautiful daughters, Candace (8) and Jocelyn (4).

I have a Bachelor’s degree, which I received from Strayer University and an Associate’s degree received from Somerset Community College.

I have always been the type of person who looks at the glass as half full and always try to be positive about everything in life.  I'm the kind of person that would give you the shirt off my back.  I love to laugh, but I can be serious when the situation warrants it. I love living in the mountains of eastern Kentucky it is such a beautiful place; especially in the Fall with all the colors.

I am looking forward to meeting new people and helping people in the community as much as I can.  I am very eager to learn new things and quite determined to succeed in everything that I do.  I am ready to start my journey down this new path.
